- A bowl. Can be ceramic, clay or seashell to hold in the Sage and ash
- Fan or feather to fan away the smoke
- Matches or lighter
- whether is for cleansing negativity or spiritual purposes
- Keep the windows open; before, during and after the ritual
- Clear the space from people or animals
- Never unattended a lit Sage
- If used for cleansing your house it’s recommended to start clockwise around your home ending where you started.
- Once you finish make sure the fire is completely extinguished and let it dry in a safe place
